New Delhi: RITES Limited has appointed Dr. Sandeepa Malhotra as a Non-Official Director (Independent Director) on its Board, effective October 6, 2026.
The appointment was communicated to RITES by the Ministry of Railways through its letter dated October 6, 2026, stating that the appointment had been approved by the President of India. Dr. Malhotra’s tenure will be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Dr. Sandeepa Malhotra is an academician with around 28 years of teaching and academic experience in MBA and Business Economics. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Business Economics (M.B.E.).
She has taught at institutions including Jiwaji University, IITTM and IGNOU. She has also authored or presented more than 38 research papers and authored a book on Quality Management.
Dr. Malhotra has been associated with the Indian Economic Association for more than 15 years, serving in roles including Executive Member, Rapporteur and Co-Chairperson. Her areas of experience include academic administration, curriculum development, research, student placement, career counselling and professional mentoring.
SEBI Compliance
RITES said that Dr. Malhotra has confirmed that she is not debarred from holding the office of director by any SEBI order or other authority. The company also disclosed that she is not related to any other director of RITES.
The appointment has been disclosed to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and RITES is completing the applicable statutory requirements.
