New Delhi: Ajay Verma has assumed charge as Executive Director (Projects) at THDC India Limited (THDCIL). His elevation marks another significant responsibility in the company’s project leadership structure.
According to THDCIL’s official organisational information, Ajay Verma is serving as Executive Director (ED), Projects, with his role based at Rishikesh.
Ajay Verma is a seasoned civil engineering professional with more than three decades of experience in the power and infrastructure sector. He joined THDC India Limited in 1990 as an Engineer (Trainee) and has since handled several important assignments in areas including rehabilitation, construction, contracts, vigilance, dam works and project planning.
Prior to his elevation as Executive Director, Verma was associated with the 444 MW Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) and served as its Head of Project. He was elevated from Chief General Manager (E8) to Executive Director (E9) with effect from May 1, 2026, following the recommendation of THDCIL’s Departmental Promotion Committee.
His extensive experience is expected to support THDCIL’s ongoing project execution and development activities. The company is currently implementing projects across hydro, pumped storage, thermal and renewable energy segments. THDCIL’s recent project milestones include progress on the 444 MW Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Projects
THDC India Limited is a Schedule-A Mini Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Power and is engaged in developing and operating power projects across various energy segments.
