New Delhi, October 8, 2026: The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has issued a major transfer and posting order involving several IAS and DANICS officers with immediate effect.
The order, issued by the Services Department, GNCTD, has reshuffled senior officers across key departments including Social Welfare, Power, General Administration, Education, Transport, Health & Family Welfare, MCD, DTC, DSIIDC, Food Safety, Tourism and other important departments.
IAS Appointments
Bipul Pathak, IAS (AGMUT: 1992), will continue as Additional Chief Secretary (Social Welfare) with additional charges including MD, DCHFC; MD, DSFDC; Additional Chief Secretary (SC/ST/OBC); Additional Chief Secretary (WCD) and Financial Commissioner.
Prashant Goyal, IAS (AGMUT: 1993), has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary (Power), with additional charge of CMD, DFC; CMD, DSCSC; Additional Chief Secretary (AR) and Additional Chief Secretary (H&FW).
Navin Kumar Choudhary, IAS (AGMUT: 1994), has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary (GAD), while retaining additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (I&FC) and Additional Chief Secretary (Food & Civil Supplies).
Dilraj Kaur, IAS (AGMUT: 2000), will continue as Principal Secretary (Education), holding additional charge of Principal Secretary (Higher Education and TTE). She has been divested of the additional charges of MD (DCHFC) and MD (DSFDC).
Niharika Rai, IAS (AGMUT: 2005), will continue as Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Transport) and will take charge as Chairman & MD, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), while being divested of the charge of Secretary (Tourism).
Rupesh Kumar Thakur, IAS (AGMUT: 2006), has been posted as CEO, DUSIB.
Sanjay Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 2008), has been posted as MD, DSIIDC, with additional charge of Secretary (IT) and OSD (Planning) until the superannuation of Yashpal Garg, IAS, after which he will take charge as Secretary (Planning).
K. Mahesh, IAS (AGMUT: 2008), has been posted as Secretary (Art, Culture & Language), with additional charge of MD, DKVIB.
Ajay Kumar Gupta, IAS (AGMUT: 2009), will continue as Commissioner (Food Safety) and has been assigned additional charges as MD (DTL), Chairman (IPGCL/PPCL), CMD (DPCL) and Chairman (Pension Trust). He has been divested of the charge of Secretary (Home).
Prasanna Ramaswamy G, IAS (AGMUT: 2010), has been posted as Additional Commissioner, MCD.
Arti Lal Sharma, IAS (AGMUT: 2010), will continue as Secretary (I&FC) with additional charge of Secretary (Tourism).
B.S. Jaglan, IAS (AGMUT: 2011), has been posted as Additional Controller (W&M), Commissioner (MCD).
Dr. Satyendra Singh Dursawat, IAS (AGMUT: 2012), has been posted as Additional Director (TTE & Higher Education).
Pankaj Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 2012), has been placed at the disposal of MCD.
Awanish Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 2014), has been posted as Commissioner (Excise).
Other appointments include Mekala Chaitanya Prasad, IAS, as Special Secretary (Health) with additional charge of Special Secretary (PWD), while Nazuk Kumar, IAS, has been posted as Special Secretary (Land & Building).
DANICS Officers Also Transferred
Lekhraj, DANICS: 2008, has been posted as Special Secretary (ACL), while Arun Gupta has been placed at the disposal of NDMC.
Padmakar Ram Tripathi, DANICS: 2011, has been posted as Joint Commissioner (Transport).
Mohd. Rehan Raza, DANICS: 2012, has been posted as Additional Secretary (H&FW).
Harshit Jain, DANICS: 2014, has been posted as Joint Secretary (CMO).
Rohankar Piyush Arun, DANICS: 2014, has been posted as Joint Commissioner (Development), replacing Mohan Kumar, DANICS: 2016.
Harminder Singh, DANICS: 2014, has been posted as Additional Private Secretary to the Lt. Governor.
Mohan Kumar, DANICS: 2016, has been posted as ADM (East), Revenue, with additional charge of ADM (North-East), Revenue.
Deepak Pundir, DANICS: 2018, has been posted as Director (NDMC).
Dr. Tapdiya Shrikant Rajendra Prasad, DANICS: 2018, will continue as Deputy Commissioner (Food Safety) with additional charge of CATS-Programme Officer.
Ravinder Kumar, DANICS: 2021, has been posted as Deputy Director (WCD), with additional charge of Member Secretary (DCW).
The order also includes postings of other DANICS officers, including K. Buzar Jamhar, DANICS (2023).
The transfer and posting order has been issued with immediate effect by the Services Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.
